How to repair a scratched carbon part ? – DCR TUNING

Many people likes to add carbon fiber parts on their cars , because carbon part is light , strong , and it will make cars looks more fashion . 

But some times carbon parts also quite week , its easy damaged or scratched . And we all know carbon parts are very expensive , and it will be very pity if a carbon part is scratched .

Now today we will teach you how to repair a scratched carbon part , below is a scratched carbon fiber mirror , now we will repair it . 

To repair carbon parts , we will need be low things : abrasive paper ,  polishes , clean water , polish machine .

First , use the abrasive paper to sand the surface where the scratches are ( if the scratches are very deep , you will need to use 1000 Cw paper to sand first and then 2000 Cw paper , of course you can only use 2000 Cw paper , but 1000 Cw paper will make your job easier ) , till you can not see the scratches .

Then brush the polishes onto the surface where you just sanded 

And now open the polish machine , polish the surface step by step . 

WARNING : DO NOT turn the machine faster if you are not good at this , and HOLD THE PART STABLE ! If not the part will fly away and you will get a bigger problem 🙂   . 

Finally you will see a repaired brand new part

This can be used to repair parts which are slightly scratched and which with white sand in side , not suitable for those seriously damaged , those need a professional repair .
